The Shelby 1000 is back for 2015 and later Mustang GT. The package begins with the replacement of the stock V8 with a 5.2L supercharged engine that features best-of-the-best internals, a traditional 90-degree crank, modified GT350 cylinder heads and a 4.5L Whipple supercharger. Shelby adds a litany of equipment necessary to make or sustain a thousand ponies, from a new high flow fuel system to an intercooler, transmission, ECU and tuning. Then its craftsmen widen the car’s track with custom bodywork.

On the outside, the Shelby 1000 features an all-new front fascia assembly which includes a grille, cooling ducts and front splitter. It also features an original hood, front fenders, rockers, quarter-panels, rear diffuser, exhaust, and much more.

Shelby widens the car’s front and rear track before installing a fully adjustable coil over suspension and huge Brembo braking system, along with stronger spindles and hubs, hardened wheel studs, wider wheels and tires.

The package is available for any V8 Ford Mustang built since the 2015 model year. Only 50 per model year will be built, by either Shelby American in Las Vegas or through one of their mod shops located around the globe beginning in the first quarter of 2018.For more information about the new Shelby 1000 or the previous generation 11-14 Shelby 1000, visit www.Shelby.com.

Note: While the previous generation Shelby 1000 was offered in both street and off-road configuration, a decision was made not to pursue emissions compliance on the new model.

In the Ford booth at the SEMA show Shelby Super Snake Wide Body Concept car showcases the 2018 model year platform and is a glimpse of the newest generation Shelby muscle cars. This concept vehicle was designed and hand built at Shelby American’s facility in Las Vegas.

The 2018 Super Snake takes advantage of the new direct injection system which will add substantial horsepower to the supercharged V8. The front of the car also received a face lift receiving a new front fascia assembly, hood, and rocker panels for the 2018 MY.

New body panels were integrated into the “Lightning Blue” 5.0L Ford Mustang to add approximately 4 inches to the rear track and 2.5 inches to the front. Additional power, suspension, and braking enhancements were designed and produced by Shelby American and Ford Performance.
